Children

There's no better way to learn to cook than to get stuck in and do it! The Cookery School is purpose built to accommodate young chefs and our chef-tutors are here to help children explore cooking in a safe but challenging way. There are lots of workshops to choose from which run during half-term and the school holidays. We also offer birthday parties - the birthday boy or girl and their friends cook their own birthday tea and eat it at a table downstairs in the Brasserie. Click on the links below to find out more.

Learn to cook, love to eat - 1hr hands-on session; a great place to start with two seasonal recipes that children will cook and take home.

Introduction workshop - 2 1/2hr hands-on session; artisan bread, a main course and a pudding to bring home and share.

Cooking with Children - 2 1/2hr hands-on session for children and grown-ups who come along to cook (together) some artisan bread, a main course and a pudding to bring home and share.

Foundation Course - Four consecutive hands-on 1/2 day sessions;cooking three recipes each day and culminating in lunch cooked by the children for parents and family in the restaurant.

Young Chefs - Ten, weekly hands-on 1/2 day sessions for budding young chefs; a challenging and technical course that culminates in a lunch party, cooked by the children, for parents and family in the restaurant.

Birthday Parties - Celebrate with your friends and cook your own, delicious birthday spread. Spend a couple of hours in the Cookery School making bread, a tasty main course and a mouthwatering pudding then sit in the Brasserie to eat what you've cooked.
